to do while in Port Angeles

The
Hoh Rain Forest, located 90 miles from
Port Angeles, is one of the best examples
of virgin temperate rain forest in the
Western Hemisphere. Some of the trees
growing in the park are among the largest
of their type in the world. Deer and elk
are in abundance. There is hiking,
picnicing, fishing, guided tours through
the rain forest and a visitor center. Well
signed off of Highway 101, this is a sight
that cannot be missed. A fee of $10 per
carload is collected at the entrance of
the rain forest from mid-May through
September. You can call 360-565-3131 to
check on Olympic National Park road
conditions and access 24 hours a
day.

Mary
Mere Falls is located 16 miles from
Port Angeles. It is a 1 mile hike from the
Lake Crescent Lodge.
Lake
Crescent is also located 16 miles from
Port Angeles. There is fishing, swimming,
boating, and peddle boats that are
available. The lodge has a restaurant, a
gift shop, and information
center.
There are
many other beautiful places to see. Such
as beaches here in Port Angeles, the game
farm, Victoria Bush Gardens, and the Old
Victorian homes in Port
Townsend.

Hurricane
Ridge is only 18 miles from Port
Angeles. There is hiking and picnicing for
everyone.
Sol Duc
Hot Springs is 40 miles away from Port
Angeles. There is hiking, picnicing,
restaurants, 3 mineral pools and a cold
pool available to the public at the Sol
Duc Resort.
Mora
National Park is 56 miles from Port
Angeles. The park has picnicking and
beaches to walk along
